Chief Executive of the Political Studies Association
Up to £65,000, London-based
Building on its success as a membership organisation of the leading academics in the field, the Association is committed to expanding its publications, events and activities to promote research, education and the advancement of learning in political studies.
Our new Chief Executive will play a key role in the next stage of our development. Whilst maintaining a high-quality support operation, the post holder will be deeply involved in raising funds, organising events and expanding the charity’s public benefit activities.
Dynamic but diplomatic, you have the ability to balance competing objectives, an excellent track record of management and leadership, and a keen eye for administrative detail. Financially literate, you will need an understanding of the voluntary sector, and in particular of governance in membership organisations, and the energy to run our small London office whilst supervising the operational staff team in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
