Parliaments and Legislatures Specialist Group
Aims of the Specialist Group
The Parliaments and Legislatures specialist group was provides a dedicated forum for legislative scholars to discuss their current and future research. It aims to include academics and interested actors from a broad range of backgrounds, such as, but not limited to: executive-legislative relations; parties in parliament; parliamentary scrutiny; parliamentary behaviour; the legislative process; parliamentary organisation, change and development; parliaments and democratisation; sub-national parliaments and assemblies; and relations between parliamentary chambers.
The group maintains a regular email newsletter, which facilitates communication amongst our members, and works to secure panels at the PSA Annual Conference.
We hope to facilitate the pursuit of joint research amongst our members, to forge useful contacts, and foster a sense of community amongst parliamentary and legislative scholars within the PSA.
