The 2011 Parliaments and Legislatures Specialist Group Conference will take place on Friday 22 July at the Constitution Unit, Department of Political Science, University College London. This biennial conference brings together scholars, researchers and specialists with an interest in the functioning, development and impact of legislative institutions, and seeks to provide a platform for discussion of ongoing research in a supportive but challenging atmosphere.

The Call for Papers is now open, and paper proposals on all relevant topics are welcomed, from those examining single institution case studies to those exploring cross national comparisons, and including papers adopting a variety of methodological approaches and conceptual starting-points.

Anyone wishing to propose a paper for inclusion at the conference should complete the proposal form here and send it to Dr Alix Kelso by email (instructions on the proposal form).

A travel bursary is also available to enable PhD candidates to present papers also. Full details on the bursary form here.

Booking details for those wish to attend but not present a paper will appear in due course.
