Participatory and Deliberative Democracy Specialist Group

The PSA Participatory and Deliberative Democracy Specialist Group aims to co-ordinate and promote theoretical and empirical research in the broad areas of participatory and deliberative democracy. The group aims to form a network of specialists in these broad areas, bring together academics with a research interest in these areas, facilitate opportunities for research collaboration, and to provide an outlet for the dissemination of research findings.

In particular the group hosts several panels at the Political Studies Associations annual conference and aims to organise regular conferences, seminars, and workshops. The group will invite international speakers to attend these events. In addition the group intends to produce special editions of relevant journals and edited books.
