The PSA has been the home of political studies in the UK since 1950. We advance, support and promote the study of global politics and international relations for all.

The PSA is a registered Charity, company limited by guarantee, a learned society and membership body. How we do this is governed by a series of policies and codes of practice – which can be found in ‘our governance‘ below. Our priorities for how we fulfil are charitable aim to support and develop our discipline is set out in Our Strategic Plan 2025- 2028.
