Research Prizes

Richard Rose Prize is an early career prize for outstanding research contributions by an early career scholar to advancing knowledge in political studies normally completed within ten years of the completion of PhD or equivalent.

Carole Pateman Prize is an open prize for outstanding research contributions (either through a single outstanding contribution or a broader body of high-quality work) to advancing knowledge in political studies.

Pippa Norris Prize is a team prize for a research team that have made an outstanding contribution to advancing knowledge in political studies (with a single piece of work, a broader body of work, or major contributions to the research infrastructure of political studies).

Professional Contributions Prizes

Joni Lovenduski Prize is an early career prize for outstanding professional achievement and contribution to political studies, through service to learned associations, advancing public knowledge of politics and political literacy, or through other major contributions, normally made within ten years of the completion of a PhD or equivalent.

Sir Isaiah Berlin Prize is an open prize for outstanding professional contributions to political studies, through service to learned associations, advancing public knowledge of politics and political literacy, or through other major contributions.

Teaching Prizes

Sir Bernard Crick Prize is an early career prize For outstanding contributions to advancing teaching and learning in political studies, normally made within ten years of the completion of a PhD or equivalent.

Vicky Randall Prize is an open prize for outstanding contributions to advancing teaching and learning in political studies. Nominees will be expected to show a contribution to the wider scholarship of teaching and learning in the discipline.

Jacqui Briggs Prize is a team prize for outstanding contributions in advancing teaching and learning in political studies by a team or group of scholars.

Specialist Group Prize

For a PSA Specialist Group which has raised awareness of the study of politics and increased impact of the discipline.
