As a national learned society, the PSA is able to nominate individuals to a number of awards and fellowships. The PSA’s Honorary Secretary (Prof. Fiona Mackay) coordinates nominations being made under the auspices of PSA and encourages members to propose potential nominees by Wednesday 27 May 2020.
Twice a year, the PSA may nominate some of our members to become Fellows of the Academy of Social Science.
The full list of criteria, and the guidelines for nomination, can be found on the Academy’s website. The selection process is highly competitive and involves a rigorous nomination process.
To make a nomination please complete sections 1, 3, and 4 of the Nomination Form, alongside the Academy’s Diversity Monitoring form, and return it to PSA Honorary Secretary Fiona Mackay by email ([email protected]) no later than 5pm on Wednesday May 27 2020.
To complete the nomination procedure, a four-page CV of the individual must be included. The proposer and the nominee cannot be based at the same institution. The full guidelines can be found here.
Nominations will be reviewed internally and the PSA will submit our nominations to the Academy by Friday 5 June. The AcSS Nominations Committee will meet in July and successful nominees should expect to be notified of the outcome in October 2020.
