Greece is currently experiencing an unprecedented financial crisis, the depth and the severity of which have affected all aspects of politics, economy, and society in the country. A lot of research has been done already on the causes and effects of the crisis. However, there are still a number of important questions that are worthy of further exploration. This panel offers a selection of papers, which not only discuss the effects the crisis has had on political mobilisation, resistance and patronage, but also analyse the discursive nature of the economic restructuring process itself.
