There is a growing body of educational theory and evidence which supports the contention that higher levels of student engagement are related to higher levels of student learning and achievement. This raises the question of what the most effective approaches are to engage student within the context of political studies. The papers presented in this panel each consider a different dimension of this, focusing on students in a range of settings and contexts, which will be of interest to a wide range of delagates.
