The PSA Conference 2017 will be held mainly in the Technology & Innovation Centre (TIC) with a number of sessions and meetings taking place in the Graham Hills and McCance Buildings, Committee Room 9 and Blackfriars

There will be staff on hand and signage to direct conference attendees to the various venues. 

Technology and Innovation Centre, University of Strathclyde

99 George St, Glasgow G1 1RD

Centrally located in Glasgow, the TIC features a large flexible auditorium (which can be split into three), a number of smaller conference rooms and flexible foyer spaces for catering, receptions, exhibitions and networking. 

The PSA Conference will take place in the following spaces within the TIC:

Level Two (Ground Floor):

Main Auditorium 

Main Foyer Space (for registration, exhibitions and refreshments)

Accessibility

  • There is level access to the building (Level 2 is the ground floor).
  • Lift access is available to all floors
  • All Auditoria have wheelchair spaces for those unable to transfer into a seat.
  • All Auditoria and Conference Rooms are fitted with induction loops.
  • There are accessible toilets on all floors, which are clearly signposted.
  • There are designated safe areas throughout the building for any delegates unable to evacuate using stairs in the event of an emergency situation.

Cloakroom

  • For events using the Main Auditorium, an unstaffed Cloakroom is available in the Level 2 Foyer.
  • For events using the Level 1 Auditorium or Level 3 Conference Rooms we can supply coatrails, located either adjacent to your registration desk or within your meeting room.
  • The Executive Suites on Level 9 have their own dedicated, unstaffed cloakroom behind the reception desk.
  • Please note that delegates leave coats, bags and other personal items in cloakroom areas entirely at their own risk – the University of Strathclyde accepts no responsibility for items which are lost or damaged. Items left in cloakroom areas will be disposed of after a maximum of two weeks.

WiFi

  • WiFi is available through BSkyB’s The Cloud:
  • Select ‘WiFi Guest’ from the list of your available networks
  • Launch your preferred browser and click ‘Get Online’
  • Select ‘Free Wi-Fi Cloud’
  • If you have used _The Cloud elsewhere before, you can use the same credentials. If not, select ‘Create Account’ and enter all mandatory information requested.
  • Select ‘Continue'

Graham Hills Building, University of Strathclyde

Committee Room 9

18 John Street, Glasgow G1 1JQ

The function room on the first floor will host panels on the following days:

Tuesday 11 April (all day); Wednesday 12 April (09:00 - 10:30, The Revival of Party Membership Panel). 

It will be used as a workspace/meeting/relaxation area for conference delegates during the following times:

Monday 10 April (09:00 - 17:45) and Wednesday 12 April (10:30 - 15:00). Further details are available here

Blackfriars Bar

36 Bell Street, Merchant City, Glasgow, G1 1LG

The basement bar will host the England after Brexit event on Sunday 9 April and the Requiem for the American Dream film screening on Monday 10 April.
