Open to both members and non-members, the PSA annual conference is a rewarding, and popular event for those researching, teaching, studying, or practicing politics, political studies, international relations, and related disciplines. Hosting over 200 panels, keynotes, workshops, and professional development opportunities, last year’s conference attracted over 900 international academics, students, and professionals. This three-day conference is a unique and valuable opportunity for delegates to share research, exchange ideas, and broaden networks. PSA26 is a valuable experience for both presenters and non-presenting attendees.
PSA26 will take place in the heart of the historic city, across three central venues, all walking distance from each other. The main conference hub and exhibitors will be based in the Examination Schools, with sessions and events also taking place nearby at St Catherine’s College and Wadham College. Information for Delegates
Each day will start at 8:30am, with panels starting at 9:30am and finishing at 5pm. Registration will be in the Examination Schools and will be open each day from 08.30 until 17.00. We encourage all delegates to allow at least 20 minutes for registration. Please see below important information for delegates.
PSA26 Conference Ambassadors will be present and visible across all three venues and throughout the event. They will be wearing white PSA26 T-shirts and PSA umbrellas. They will be on hand to help guide and support delegates. Conference Ambassadors are your first port of call if you require assistance.
Conference Programme and Keynotes
Each day will start at 8:30am, with panels starting at 9:30am and finishing at 5pm. Registration will be open each day. The conference programme includes keynote lectures and discussions, roundtables, workshops, drinks reception, prize ceremony, exhibitors and much more. Accommodation, Food & Travel Information
Delegates should arrange their own accommodation and travel. The PSA does not provide accommodation for conference delegates.
Delegates should arrange their own food and meals. Registered delegates can chose to opt-in and pre-book lunch for Tuesday 31 March. This will be a subsidised lunch of sandwich, fruits, crips and water for £10 per person. Lunch will also be provided for PSA members attending the PSA AGM on Monday 30 March. Complimentary refreshments will be served across all venues throughout the event, and delegates can enjoy complimentary drinks and canapes at the Reception & Prize Giving on Tuesday 31 March.
Oxford is a beautiful, historic city with unique charm. Whilst not a large city Oxford has many small winding lanes and distinctive areas. You will notice this when going between the three venues. We have provided a map and comprehensive information about getting to, from and around Oxford.

The PSA is a registered charity, and our annual conference is part of our charitable aims to advocate, support, advance and enrich research and practice for those teaching, learning and practicing within political studies and related disciplines. The conference does not seek to make profit, and we strive to keep registration fees as low and affordable as possible.
