Fee Information

Registration fees for PSA27 have been kept similar those for 2026. We have applied a 3% inflation increase across all ticket prices to reflect the increases in costs associated with delivering the conference. When registering delegates will have the option to pre-book lunch for each day.

IMPORTANT: To ensure that delegates are registering for the correct ticket type, all registrations will be automatically cross-referenced for accuracy and eligibility. Please ensure you are a current PSA member before selecting a member registration rate – if you are not a PSA member you will automatically be asked to join/renew, or you will be charged a non-member rate. We strive to make the conference registration as fair, inclusive, and accessible as possible for those who want to attend.

Join the PSA for reduced price tickets as member rates are significantly discounted AND you will enjoy 12 months’ membership benefits.

All ticket prices include a non-refundable registration fee of £10 which covers the financial transaction that the PSA is charged by our credit card provider for each ticket. If you cancel your ticket the PSA will retain this £10. 

Why attend PSA27?

The PSA annual international conference is a valuable opportunity to bring together as many of our members and communities as possible. It’s also an opportunity to recognise and support the breadth and impact of PSA specialist groups, and to support PSA members with opportunities to connect, share research and exchange ideas. 

Optional Delegate Lunch

When registering delegates can chose to pre-book a sandwich lunch should they wish. This is optional but is advised as the conference will be taking place on a campus that is situated outside of the city centre. Delegate lunch will consist of fresh homemade sub roll or wrap, Pipers crisps, sausage or vegan roll, homemade brownie or flapjack and a can of mineral water. Delegate lunch will be charged at cost. 

What does my registration fee include?

Your registration fee includes attendance to the conference with full access to all panel sessions, keynote presentations, receptions, roundtables, workshops and exhibitors. It will include tea, coffee and biscuits/pastries at registration and mid-morning and afternoon breaks, a sandwich lunch and drinks with light snacks during evening reception/s. Delegates will need to organise their own evening meals. You will be provided with a badge and lanyard and full access to the digital programme. 

Delegate Support

Each year the PSA endeavours to provide appropriate support to individuals and/or communities for whom attending the conference may present difficulties. We seek to support under-represented scholars and remove as many barriers as feasibly possible for those wishing to attend. We also strive to make our events as environmentally conscious and sustainable as possible.

• Early Career Network members special one-day rates
• Unwaged/Unemployed delegates are eligible for lower registration rates of £122 for early bird and £170 for standard rate.
• International delegates from low-income countries (as defined by the United Nations Finance Centre for South-South Cooperation and OECD DAC list of ODA recipients) are eligible for lower registration rates of £122 for early bird and £170 for standard rate.
• Local delegates from the University of Hull will be eligible for a 25% discount.
• For working parents and guardian’s, delegates with ‘babes in arms’ are allowed to attend, and those with children under 18 may attend with prior agreement of set terms and conditions. We are not in a position to provide childcare provision at the conference but do recognise that on some occasions delegates may have no other option than to attend with their children, and we are keen to remove this barrier.
• The PSA makes every effort to ensure that event venues are as inclusive and accessible as possible. Delegates with disabilities will be invited to inform PSA staff of any additional support needs well in advance so that we can endeavour to accommodate these. We aim to ensure that all venues are wheelchair accessible, support those who are hard of hearing or deaf with microphones or loop systems. Registered carers are able to attend to support delegates at no extra cost.
• Additional support and discount options for PSA groups and networks with be communicated directly with committees and convenors.
• We will also aim to make available appropriate private spaces for delegate needs such as quiet spaces/prayer/feeding of babies. And we’ll invite delegates to let us know of support needs well in advance.

Supporting the Planet

PSA Annual Conferences are organised and delivered with environmental awareness and sustainability in mind at all stages and times. We have moved away from a printed programme and encourage all delegates to access the a digital conference programme, either via the app or website. Digital signage will be used in favour of printed where possible, and one-off and single-use conference specific materials (such as banners and tote bags) will be avoided in favour of more generic PSA items that can be used across multiple events and/or re-used. Badges will be paper not plastic. Delegates will be encouraged to recycle lanyards. Any conference ‘merch’ will be made from recycled materials where possible. For conference catering, plastic bags and utensils will be avoided in favour of crockery. Catering requirements will be as specific as possible so as to avoid food waste.
