Rail Travel
From London
The main rail route from London to Hull is from London King’s Cross or London St Pancras via LNER or Hull Trains, changing at Doncaster or travelling on a direct Hull Trains service. Direct Hull Trains services from London King’s Cross take approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. Standard fares vary; booking in advance via Trainline or directly with Hull Trains will secure the best prices.
King’s Cross Station is served by the Victoria, Piccadilly, Circle, Hammersmith & City, and Metropolitan tube lines. St Pancras Station is adjacent and served by the same lines plus Thameslink and Eurostar connections.
From London Heathrow
Take the Elizabeth line or Heathrow Express to London Paddington, then there are tube lines to King’s Cross (Circle or Hammersmith & City line, approximately 20 minutes). From King’s Cross take a direct or connecting service to Hull. Total journey time is around 3–3.5 hours depending on connections.
From London Gatwick
Take the Gatwick Express or a Thameslink service to London St Pancras/King’s Cross, then a Hull-bound service. Total journey time is around 3.5–4 hours.
From London Stansted
Take the Gatwick Express or a Thameslink service to London St Pancras/King’s Cross, then a Hull-bound service. Total journey time is around 3.5–4 hours.
Alternatively you can take a CrossCountry service to Peterborough, then a LNER service to Doncaster, and finally a northern service to Hull. Total journey time is 4 hours.
Other Airports
Leeds Bradford Airport has taxi/bus connections to Leeds station, from which there are frequent direct trains to Hull (approximately 1 hour). Manchester Airport has direct trains to Manchester Piccadilly; from there connect via Sheffield or Leeds to Hull. Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield Airport is served by bus connections to Doncaster station, which has regular direct trains to Hull (approximately 45 minutes).
Coach Travel
From London
