Annual PSA/BISA Teaching and Learning Conference, 2015

The University of the West of England, Bristol welcomes you to participate in this year’s annual PSA/BISA teaching and learning conference on the theme of Student Engagement and Participation. We invite contributions that address the following themes: Practice-Orientated teaching and learning; Technology Enhanced teaching and learning; and Students’ as partners in teaching and learning. This is a two day event takes place on Tuesday 8th of September and Wednesday 9th of September, 2015.


The conference has two overarching aims. First, to critically interrogate the ways in which practice-orientated teaching, and technology enhanced learning are utilised in order to enhance student engagement and participation not only in Politics/IR as study but also Politics/IR as practice. Second, to offer space for critical examining the role our students play in shaping the Politics and IR curriculum. The revised QAA subject benchmark statement is central to this Subject Benchmark Statement: Politics and International Relations.
