David Willetts 'A University Education' Official Book Launch and Expert Panel Debate

To celebrate the official launch of David Willetts' new book, A University Education, the University of Leicester and Oxford University Press are pleased to announce this unique event with the author and a distinguished panel of experts.

In A University Education, former Minister for Universities and Science (2010-14), David Willetts presents a compelling case for the ongoing importance of the university, both as one of the great institutions of modern society and as a transformational experience for the individual.

To explore this topic in full, an expert panel from the world of higher education and academia will discuss the themes and implications of Willetts' book and invite the audience to present their own thoughts and questions on the subject.

Baron Willetts gave the inaugural Chancellor's Distinguished Lecture in 2015 and received an Honorary Doctorate from the University in July 2016.

After the panel discussion there will be a book signing followed by a drinks reception.

Places are free but limited so please reserve your seats.
