Politics in schools - what exists and what works? - Report Launch
Join us for the launch of Politics in schools - what exists and what works? a research report exploring democratic education in UK schools.
Join us for the launch of "Politics in schools - "what exists" and "what works"? a report authored by Dr. James Weinberg (Univerisity of Sheffield and PSA Trustee) that explores the current state of of democratic education in UK schools and the impact that has on youth engagement in elections.
The report explores the findings of the EducateGE programme, a collaborative project between The Politics Project, The Association for Citizenship Teaching and Dr. James Weinberg to support schools and teachers to engage young people in the 2019 General Election.
Come and join us to discuss the key findings of the report and explore where we need to go next to improve democratic education provision in the UK school system.
Discussions will be lead by Dr. James Weinberg, Harriet Andrews and Liz Moorse and will include time for questions and discussion.
The PSA was incredibly proud to be a part of a collaboration of 24 democratic engagement organisations to come together to create a hub to support teachers and young people wanting to know more about the 2019 General Election. For more information click here.
