PSA Nottingham Applying to Study Politics Workshop 2018

 

For the seventh consecutive year, the PSA will be holding a series of Applying to Study Politics Workshops across the country over the coming months. These events enable students who will be applying for university in Autumn 2018 an opportunity to gain a better understanding about the reality of studying Politics at undergraduate level and its benefits.

This takes place through a series of talks including an academic lecture; one on admissions and career options; and a talk by current students. 

The East Midlands event will be held at Nottingham Trent University.

11:15-12:00 'A career in Politics' Ben Bradley MP 

12:00 - 12:15 Break

12:15 - 13:00 'Why Politics matters?: An interactive session exploring identity politics, freedom of speech and democracy under pressure'

13:00 - 13:30 Lunch

13:30-14:00 Admission Talk

14:00 - 14:30 'What can you do beyond your degree?'

14:30 - 15:15 'Life as a Politics Student' 

15:15 - 15:30 Q&A and concluding remarks

This workshop is free and and atttendees are provided with lunch.

There are limited places available for the workshops and they are allocated on a first come first served basis.
