German politics in 2023: Historical milestones and contemporary challenges

We are delighted to announce that the German Politics Conference is taking place on the 21 and 22 September 2023 at the University of the West of Scotlands Paisley campus, supported by the Political Studies Association and the University of the West of Scotland.

The conference invites researchers, practitioners, and anybody interested in German politics to come and join us for this two-day conference to reflect on Germanys past, present, and future.

Among others, presentations will examine topics relating to identity and collective memory, political engagement and activism, Germanys militant democracy, and the countrys economy in a globalized world.

Light lunches and refreshments will be provided, and there is no conference fee. Attendance is free, but places are limited. Everybody welcome!
