De Montfort University (DMU) is pleased to be hosting a discussion which explores the opportunities and anxieties faced by Millenials, Gen Z and everyone of us with an interest in the future. The event is organised by the American Politics Group of the UK Political Studies Association with support from the US Embassy, London and the British Association for American Studies. It is part of a travelling series which addresses issues facing the US and UK in domestic, trans-Atlantic and global contexts. Tea and coffee will be served on arrival from 5.30pm and the event will start at 6pm. The discussion will finish at 7.30pm and will be followed by a drinks reception. The event will welcome the following speakers: – Femi Oluwole, co-founder of Our Future, Our Choice. Femi has been recognised in recent years as a powerful commentator on political and social developments in the UK, appearing on radio, TV, writing in major outlets, and becoming a constant social media presence. – Ernest Paicopolos, Founder and CEO, Polity Research Consulting LLC. Ernest has had a remarkable career in US public opinion research, from advising on Jimmy Carters re-election campaign, through a career providing research to scores of clients in a wide range of businesses, trade associations, government agencies, political campaigns, non-profits and non-governmental organisations as well as supervising political polling for a number of television stations and newspapers.
