Our group constitution states that convenors ‘shall hold office for three years and… may serve up to two terms consecutively’. Antonio and Simon have been group convenors since January 2020 and would like to step down to make way for new convenors (with Antonio also stepping down as Treasurer). To ensure a smooth transition, they suggest that the new convenors will be confirmed or (if there are more candidates than posts) elected at the group Annual General Meeting that will be held during the PSA conference in April 2023.
 

The constitution states that the group must be governed by at least two officers. As well as Convenor(s) and Treasurer, there can be other posts (e.g. Secretary, Membership Secretary, Communications Officer, etc.). Duties include:

• Maintenance of group membership lists
• Communication with members
• Maintenance of group webpage and website
• Allocation of PSA core funding
• Organisation of group panels for PSA Annual Conference
• Social media activity
• Organisation of any group events and activities
• Promotion of the study of political thought
