About Us:

The Political Studies Association (PSA) exists to develop and promote the study and teaching of politics and related disciplines. Founded in 1950, we are the leading association and learned society in our field in the United Kingdom, with an international membership that includes academics in political science, theorists and practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and students in higher education, as well as members from the school community. We own a suite of four journals currently produced in partnership with SAGE Publishing Publications & Resources – Political Studies Association

The PSA has offices in Camden London. The staff team is currently supported to work flexibly from home with a requirement to work together at our office each week (normally on Wednesdays).

 

About the role:

Reporting to the PSA’s Head of Operations & Finance, the PSA Publications Manager supports and develops the PSA’s publishing operations to deliver:

  • Our four highly regarded journals and quarterly magazine, Political Insight
  • Marketing activities to promote these publications
  • Guidance and action plans to respond to developments and trends in academic publishing
  • Innovative new publishing avenues for the association, research reports and other outputs.

 

The role requires excellent working relationships with the wider PSA staff team, our four journal editorial teams, contractors, key trustees, PSA members, and external partners, including our publishing partner, SAGE Publishing, to develop and deliver an ambitious publishing programme.
