ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, POLITICAL STUDIES ASSOCIATION (PSA)

Full time

Salary £19,000 – £21,000 p.a.

 

The Political Studies Association UK (PSA) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, resourceful and highly organised administrative assistant. The role will involve working closely with our friendly team to provide support across our broad range of activities. The role holder will enjoy variety in the nature of the work, from organising and attending events, to working on communications and marketing to responding to enquiries from our varied membership and more.

Now a bit about us. The Political Studies Association is the largest learned society in Europe dedicated to the study of politics boasting a membership of around 2,000 individuals. Since its creation in 1950 we have promoted the intellectual, social and public value of the study of politics. As a result, British expertise on politics is recognised around the world for its scholarly quality, its openness and – most of all – for its ability to bridge both ‘politics in theory’ and ‘politics in practice’.

A bit about you. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work on his/her own initiative and be adept at working with competing deadlines. Exemplary interpersonal and teamworking skills are a must, as is the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly both verbally and in writing. You’ll be a meticulously organised person  who thrives in a mutually supportive environment.
