The ESRC will fund approximately 30 postdoctoral fellowships under the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF). These postdoctoral fellowships aim to provide opportunities to enhance the capacity of early career researchers.
These will be funded as a one-year pilot and delivered through five Doctoral Training Centres (DTCs). These DTCs (South West, North West, Oxford, Bloomsbury, and Scottish DTCs) were chosen due to their longstanding commitment to supporting postgraduate training within an international development focus, and demonstrable research strength in this area.
In addition, and in keeping with the ESRC’s longstanding commitment to the UK’s portfolio of world-leading longitudinal studies, the Bloomsbury DTC will accept applications for Longitudinal Studies Fellowships to work with CLOSER (Cohort and Longitudinal Studies Enhancement Resources), one or more of the eight UK studies within the CLOSER consortium and appropriate longitudinal studies overseas.
The call closing date for all postdoctoral fellowships is 9 September 2016.
