The government has today, 30 September, released the Teaching Excellence Framework year 2 specification, detailing how the TEF will function in year two of its operation.

The full specification is available to download here.

Details include: 

• who will be eligible to apply
• what the assessment framework looks like
• how we define and use the assessment data
• how we will assess providers
• what outcomes a provider can expect

A metrics workbook exemplar is also included to illustrate how TEF data will be shown to assessors. Assessment outcomes are due in spring 2017 to inform students applying in autumn 2017.
