Professor Carole Pateman (UCLA) has received a Special Recognition Award from the Political Studies Association of the United Kingdom. The presentation took place at the Association’s well-attended reception in the Chicago Hilton during the APSA annual meeting. The award was presented to Carole Pateman on behalf of the PSA by Professor John Benyon (University of Leicester) who is the Association’s Treasurer. He paid tribute to Carole Pateman’s remarkable and wide-ranging contribution to political studies over more than four decades during which she has written on a wide range of themes, including democracy, feminism and welfare, and served in leading capacities in IPSA, APSA and other bodies.  You can see Carole receiving her award in the video below.
