The Political Studies Association (PSA) is keen to hear from Departments who would be interested in hosting our 2022 Annual Conference, with the deadline for proposals being 27 March 2020.

We are moving to a model that seeks to get expressions of interest from prospective Academic Convenors on a rolling basis linked to an annual planning cycle. We want to make this as transparent a process as possible through a set of clear criteria that interested Departments can use to map out a bid. We also want to ensure that the bidding process is not unduly onerous and we hope that the process outlined here strikes an appropriate balance in that respect.

The PSA is the largest professional association of political scientists in the UK and hosting its flagship conference is a great opportunity to amplify the teaching and research profile of your Department or School, as well as the staff within it. It is also an excellent way of showcasing the Department within your institution and gaining media coverage and profile within your city, town and region.

We have set out the key criteria to address for any prospective bid to address and we have a dedicated Staff Team in the PSA office who can assist with any queries you might have if you are considering putting a bid together.

Expressions of interest should be no more than four pages in length .

We hope that you consider a bid to host the PSA Annual Conference in 2022. However, if another year would be more appropriate then why not start planning now to bid on a future occasion.
