PSA Chair to discuss the problem with democracy at the British Library

In partnership with the British Library, the Academy of Social Sciences is delighted to announce its new public lecture series, to replace the highly successful ‘Myths and Realities’ series, which finished last year. The new series begins on Wednesday 26th November 2014 at 18.30, in the Terrace Restaurant at the British Library, London. Professor Matthew Flinders FAcSS, of the University of Sheffield, PSA Chair and author of Defending Politics, will deliver the first lecture, discussing ‘The problem with democracy’. The evening will be chaired by the Rt Hon Peter Riddell CBE, Director of the Institute for Government. The event is followed by a pay bar until 21.00. Entry costs £8, (£6 Over 60s) and £5.
