The PSA is delighted to announce Methodist College Belfast as the winner of the 2017 Student Video Competition.

The judges were particular impressed with how the entry dealt with the topic of
Fake News: Is this the end of facts? with intelligence and humour.

The winning team, comprising of Hala Heenan, Jake Lowry, and Shannon McKeown-Gilmore, will attend PSA Annual Awards on 5 December at Church House in London and each get a one week work experience placement with YouGov.

The PSA received entries from across the country and whittled them down to four finalists; Belfast Methodist College, Island Innovation Sixth Form, Trinity High School, and Tom Powell.

The four teams were invited to a pitching and judging afternoon at Speaker’s House in the Palace of Westminster where they were interviewed by a panel of five judges: Speaker John Bercow MP, Joe Twyman, from YouGov; Tina Daheley, a BBC journalist; Marie Le Conte, a freelance journalist; and PSA CEO, Phil Sooben.
