Charlie Jeffery’s term as Chair of the PSA and Jacqui Briggs’ as Vice Chair comes to an end in June 2014. The Executive has established a small Search Committee to find their successors. The Committee consists of Andrew Massey(Chair), Elizabeth Meehan, Paul Carmichael and Cathy Gormley-Heenan.

As you know, the majority of the Executive is elected by the membership of the PSA. The Executive Committee co-opts a small number of officers including the Chair and Vice Chair. Nominees need to be academics able to enhance the prestige of the PSA and ideally in the case of the Chair academics with a high international standing. In addition, the individuals concerned need to be able to work collegiately with the elected trustees and the professional staff of the Association, displaying both leadership and broad administrative skills commensurate with the role.

Colleagues are invited to submit names in confidence (including their own) to any member of the Search Committee prior to the closing date of 29 November 2013.
