PRIZES:

Two PSA Early Career Network member conference passes
- Passes can be used for 2020 or 2021
- If passes have already been purchased, winners will be reimbursed unless they choose to use their pass for 2021
One year of complimentary PSA Early Career Network membership
- Membership will take effect once the winner has been contacted and confirmed
Winning images will be displayed at the conference in April 2020

GUIDELINES:

The PSA invites Early Career scholars to submit entries to the Photography Competition associated with PSA20, to be held in Edinburgh on 6-8th of April. We are inviting photos that engage with this year’s conference theme Reimagining Politics. For more information, please consult the conference abstract: https://psa.ac.uk/psa20.

By entering the competition, entrants agree to these guidelines. Failure to comply may result in disqualification
The competition is open to all early career researchers studying subject matters under Political Studies schools
The competition commences on Monday 13^th January 2020 (09:00) and closes on Monday 30^th March 2020 (17:30)
Photographers are permitted to enter one portfolio, consisting of up to 3 photos
Contestants can enter in groups but please ensure this is clearly stated in the entry and note that the prize is per entry, not per member of the group
Entries can be submitted by saving the images in a folder labelled CONTESTANT SURNAME, CONTESTANT FIRST NAME, UNIVERSITY. Contestants should upload this folder to wetransfer.com and send the shareable link to [email protected]
Folder name example: DOE, JANE, UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH

Entries must be in high-resolution JPEG or PNG format and a maximum compressed file size of 3MB
Images submitted must be a minimum resolution of 300dpi
Cartoons are excluded
By entering this competition, you give permission for the Political Studies Association to publish and use each entry for their communications, including display at the conference itself
By entering, entrants agree to abide by the competition guidelines. The PSA reserves the right, with or without cause, to exclude entrants violating any of the guidelines
The PSA also makes clear that in selecting a winner it is in no way supporting or opposing a person, policy, or viewpoint but merely acknowledging a photograph capturing the conference’s theme
The decision of the judging panel is final, and no correspondence will be entered into
There is no fee to enter the competition and no purchase is necessary to enter
Entrants warrant that their entries are not offensive, defamatory, libellous, obscene, indecent, harassing or threatening or otherwise unlawful, and are unique, have not been plagiarised and do not infringe the intellectual property rights or any other rights of a third party. By entering the competition, entrants agree to hold PSA harmless for any liability, damages or claims for injury or loss to any person or property, relating to, directly or indirectly, participation in this competition, or claims based on publicity rights, third party intellectual property rights, defamation or invasion of privacy
