The Economic and Social Research Council recently launched an open consultation to inform their ‘Review of the PhD in Social Sciences’. The aim of the review is to ensure their training is fit for the future, supporting a diverse population of students.
We welcome this consultation and hope it will capture an array of personal experiences from academics across the social sciences.
In an effort to ensure the discipline of Political Science is represented in this process, the PSA will be making an organisation-wide submission. We will be collecting answers to the consultation questions via our own survey to enable us to best represent our members.
If you would like to share your experiences or views on how the current approach to doctoral study programmes are working or could be improved we would encourage you to complete this survey.
The PSA will publish its final submission and share with members. For further information or support in answering these questions, please refer to the consultation guidance.
We will be closing this survey Monday 24th August (12noon).
