We do not promote or support a particular position on Brexit and have members who support a variety of positions on that issue. However, we are committed to the use of evidence within the democratic process and the necessity for dialogue and debate to take place in our seats of government.  

As the largest professional association of political scientists in the UK, we would be concerned by any erosion of the opportunities for parliament to discharge its democratic responsibilities given the issues currently facing the country. We would expect that the constitutional and legal expertise of our members is drawn upon at this crucial time.
