The Political Studies Association has today (26 September 2016) launched a social media campaign inviting nominations for its Political Image of the Year award. The title will be awarded at the PSA’s Annual Awards Ceremony hosted by Jon Snow (Channel 4 News) on 29 November 2016 at Church House, Westminster.
The Award recognises a photographer or photojournalist that has captured an issue, event or individual(s) in a skilful and visually powerful, evocative or humorous way.
Members are invited to submit photos that have appeared in the media during the past year which fit this bill. Nominations will be accepted on social media (@PolStudiesAssoc and facebook.com/politicalstudiesassociation/) or via email ([email protected]) until Monday 10 October 2016. For Twitter and Facebook please use the hashtag #PoliticalImage2016.
A selection of shortlisted images will be on display at the PSA Awards where guests will have the opportunity to vote for their preferred piece. The Political Image of the Year prize will be presented to the successful photographer or photojournalist on the night.
If you have any questions or would like further information about this award please contact the PSA’s Events and Marketing Manager, Avnish Patel, at [email protected].
Notes:
