The PSA Early Career Network invite you to their annual one-day conference, on the theme of Critical Junctures at Home and Abroad: 12 Months Since Brexit, on Thursday 22 June 2017 in the stunning Liverpool Central Library.
The ECN conference is an opportunity for early career researchers to showcase and develop innovative ongoing research, to gain feedback from established academics as well as a supportive peer group, and to engage in networking with colleagues at varying stages of their career.
In line with the conference theme, the ECN committee are keen to receive proposals on Critical Junctures at Home and Abroad: 12 Months Since Brexit but will welcome papers from across the range of political studies.
The deadline to submit an abstract (of no more than 250 words) is 16/05/2017. Successful papers will be grouped accordingly into four themed panels. Successful proposals will be chosen and notified by 20/05/2017 at the latest. Registration for the conference will open on 21/05/2017.
Fitting with the conference's theme, there will be a number of high profile speakers from both academia and practical politics. Our speakers on the day will also be awarding a prize for the best paper.
The event is exclusively for members of the PSA, but the ECN has negotiated a special discount for new members. New early career academics can join the PSA for just £10 [/join-or-renew-membership].
Registration for the event is just £5 for ECN members, and £15 for non-members - this includes refreshments throughout the day, a sandwich lunch and a networking drinks reception. We are also offering travel grants for ECN members, of up to £60 upon application. For more details of this, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
