The Early Career Network committee is seeking a motivated colleague to join the team in this volunteer role. Whilst we very much work collaboratively, we’re looking for someone to take the lead on planning and organising our events. You’ll be joining other members of the committee: Angeliki Martinou (Chair/ strategy/ operations/governance); Aruni Samarakoon (projects/ publications/R&D/programme development), and Sebastian Zeigler (Communications & Membership).
You will primarily:
- Coordinate ECN’s presence at the PSA Annual Conference
- Co-lead the organisation and delivery of the ECN Annual Conference
- Work with team members to ensure inclusive and engaging programming
- Help to plan, and manage logistics, timelines, and delivery of events
- Oversee speaker invitations; booking and registration processes; attendance
- Help to identify relevant PSA and external events for ECN participation or promotion
- Prepared to commit time to the role (monthly online team meetings; team communications; events spread throughout the year)
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, professionalism, reliability, and teamwork skills
- Reside in the UK and/or be able to travel within the UK
- Ideally have experience in event planning, organisation and communications
- Agree to contribute to this role on a voluntary basis
