‘Policing in Patriarchy’ Wins the 2025 APSA-PSA International Partnerships Award
The American Political Science Association (APSA) and the Political Studies Association (PSA) are delighted to announce the 2025 winner of this award which celebrates outstanding and innovative cross-national scholarly partnerships.
Congratulations to Akshay Mangla (Associate Professor of International Business, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford), Sandip Sukhtankar (Professor, Department of Economics, University of Virginia) and Gabrielle Kruks-Wisner (Associate Professor of Politics & Global Studies, University of Virginia), for ‘Policing in patriarchy - an experimental evaluation of reforms to improve police responsiveness to women in India.’
The award was judged by a joint APSA and PSA panel of PSA Trustees Dr. Donna Smith (The Open University, UK), Professor John Craig (University of Hull, UK) and APSA representatives - Emeritus Professor John Berg (Suffolk University, USA) and Professor Karen Beckwith (Case Western Reserve University, USA) who said:

Applications for 2026 nominations is expected to open in early November 2025 and close in mid-February 2026, details will be announced on PSA and APSA websites. Awards will be presented at the 2026 APSA Annual Meeting in Boston, MA, 3 – 6 September 2026.
