The PSA and the University of Edinburgh are pleased to announce a new editorial team for the British Journal of Politics and International Relations (BJPIR).

Dr Alan Convery (Senior Lecturer in Politics) will step up to be Lead Editor. He will be joined by three Associate Editors: Professor Juliet Kaarbo (Professor of Foreign Policy), Dr Meryl Kenny (Senior Lecturer in Gender and Politics) and Dr Oliver Turner (Lecturer in International Relations). The new team hopes to continue Professor John Peterson's vision for the journal and build on his excellent work.

PSA Chair Professor Angelia Wilson said of the appointment:

The Political Studies Association welcomes Dr Alan Convery as the Lead Editor for BJPIR and the additional University of Edinburgh colleagues, Professor Kaarbo, Dr Kenny and Dr Turner, as Associate Editors. Over the past few years, under the leadership of Professor Peterson and Dr Convery, BJPIR has grown in its international reputation and in metrics such as impact factor. While we are all deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague and friend John Peterson, we are certain Dr Convery and the team will continue the journal’s trajectory of excellence.
