Have you recently authored an outstanding book in political science? Or, do you think a published colleague deserves recognition?

Now entering into its 33rd year, the PSA's Mackenzie Prize is awarded annually to the best book published in political science and nominations are now invited for books published in the 2018 calendar year.

Last year’s winner was Muslim Women and Power: Political and Civic Engagement in European Societies (Palgrave Macmillan) by Professor Danièle Joly and Dr Khursheed Wadia. (Pictured above)

Nominations may be submitted by publishers, PSA Specialist Groups, heads of department and by self-nomination (with the support of three additional PSA members). Single-authored and jointly-authored books by members of the Political Studies Association published in the UK in 2018 are eligible.

You can download a nomination form here. Please also ensure you have familarised yourself with the rules for submission.

We hope that you will participate in this prestigious prize which will be awarded at the PSA’s Annual International Conference Dinner in April 2020.

Please post your completed nomination form, supporting statement and five copies of the nominated book by 21 July 2019 to the address below:
