We are pleased to invite nominations for this year's W.J.M. Mackenzie Book Prize.

Now entering its 35th year, the prestigious PSA's Mackenzie Prize is awarded annually to the best book published in political science. We are now accepting nominations for books published in the 2020 calendar year.

Last year’s winner was Drama’s at Westminster: Select Committees and the quest for accountability (Manchester University Press) by Dr. Marc Geddes.

Nominations may be received from publishers, PSA Specialist Groups, heads of department and by self-nomination (with the support of three additional PSA members).

Nominations should be submitted digitally in the first instance using the nomination form and accompanied by a one-page supporting statement. Applicants will be required to submit four physical copies along with a digital version of their nominated title once nominations close to confirm their nomination.

Supporting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in our discipline is a key strategic priority for the PSA. Therefore, we would particularly welcome nominations from women, and from black and minority ethnic authors.

The winner will be announced during the PSA’s next international conference 10-13 April 2022 (in partnership with the University of York)
