One of the benefits of PSA membership is a free subscription to Political Insight magazine, which members can choose to access online or by post. We are delighted to welcome the new members of the editorial board. To read more about this, check out the latest edition of PSA News here.

Peter Geoghegan, editor of Political Insight says:

I am incredibly pleased to be welcoming the new editorial board. The calibre of the board is a testament to the strength of Political Insight and the deep connections that the magazine has built within both the politics studies community and in the wider media and policy world.

The PSA’s quarterly magazine has built up a dedicated readership inside and outside the politics studies community since launching more than a decade ago.

As part of its commitment to making sense of issues, arguments, trends and developments, Political Insight has now appointed a new editorial board.

New members include: Professor Tim Bale, Queen Mary University, Professor Kate Dommett, University of Sheffield, Professor Claire Dunlop, University of Exeter, Dr Skyler Hawkins, Newcastle University, Professor Katy Hayward, Queen’s University Belfast, Professor Ailsa Henderson, University of Edinburgh, Professor Will Jennings, University of Southampton, Dr Indrajit Roy, University of York, Professor Diana Stirbu, London Metropolitan University and Professor Umut Korkut, Glasgow Caledonian University.

The new editorial board also includes well-known figures from outside the academy, with Dr Catherine Haddon from the Institute for Government, Guardian columnist Rafael Behr and Politico’s Ailbhe Rea also joining.

The new board is in place for the next issue, which is out in June and covers a wide range of subjects from the tumult within the Scottish National Party and the recent local elections in England to how war has shifted Ukrainians’ views and the lessons of the Iraq War 20 years on.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our departing board members for their service to Political Insight in recent years. Your contribution really has been invaluable

We are always on the lookout for new writers and new subjects to cover.
