PSA has a guaranteed panel allocation for the upcoming APSA Annual Meeting, 1-4 September 2016 in Philadelphia, PA, USA.

Typically attended by over 6,000 political scientists from all over the world, APSA is the world's largest political science conference. It can be difficult to secure a paper or panel through the APSA approval system so this represents a major opportunity for PSA members to obtain high-quality feedback on their research and to boost their global profile.

Proposals must be for a complete panel only, rather than individual papers. Specialist groups are encouraged to develop and submit clearly focused proposals. All proposals must be submitted through the on-line APSA system rather than through the PSA. You will need to choose ‘Political Studies Association’ from the APSA ‘related groups’ as a prospective sponsor.

There are further opportunities within the scheme to support the research activities of PSA members during the period abroad. These opportunities are open to all PSA members, irrespective of subscription level, and participation by early career and postgraduate members is encouraged.

Travel can be supported through the PSA 'Overseas Grants Scheme', and additionally PSA will reimburse the cost of two double hotel rooms at the conference rates and venues for nominated panellists. Please consult this document for full details
