PSA24: Want to convene the PSA’s annual conference? Now’s your chance!

We are delighted to tell you we are now inviting expressions of interest to convene our 2024 conference – which is currently scheduled to run from Sunday 24 – Wednesday 27 March 2024.

The PSA conference has tended, in the past, to be ably led by a single UK Politics department, as convenors and hosts. This has served as a brilliant way to showcase the host team, department, and institution. However, we don’t want the potential scale of this event or your location to feel like a barrier to getting involved. So please do get in touch even if you wish to propose a different approach!

Please contact us at events@psa.ac.uk by Monday 5 December if you:

• Would like to host the 2024 event at your university and convene the conference programme
• Would like to host/convene the 2024 conference in partnership with other universities or organisations
• Would be interested in hosting and/or convening the conference at a future date.

As the flagship event in the PSA calendar and the occasion when we bring our association and friends together to further our research, networks, and discipline, you will be fully supported by the PSA team of staff and trustees every step of the way. And, if selected, you will have the opportunity to attend the PSA23 conference in Liverpool (for free) as observers. Although the bid for PSA23 was led by the University of Liverpool the convening team has fully engaged Liverpool John Moores University and other institutions in the city in the execution of the conference and it’s this collaborative approach that the PSA would like to encourage in the future.
