Want To Hold a Panel at APSA 2023? Now Is Your Chance!
Calls for proposals: Your chance to represent the PSA and showcase UK scholarship at APSA 2023 in Los Angeles
APSA and the PSA strive to give opportunities for scholars from either side of the Atlantic to collaborate, including at our respective annual conferences.
We are now, therefore, inviting submissions from PSA members and PSA Specialist Groups to take up the opportunity of holding a panel at APSA’s 2023 annual meeting; which will be held in Los Angeles, California from 31 August to 3 September 2023.
The 2023 theme is: Rights & responsibilities in the age of mis- and disinformation.
To be considered for this brilliant opportunity, please send us via info@psa.ac.uk a short (200 word) proposal on what your panel would cover and how it addresses the conference theme alongside details of who would take part including the chair/discussant (making sure that everyone named is either a PSA or APSA member). If you are able to give paper titles at this stage, please do so. Ideally the panel should be led by an academic from a UK institution. Like the PSA, APSA is focused on increasing diversity, inclusion, and access in our discipline, so we are keen to see panels which are diverse in terms of participants but also in the approaches covered. The PSA’s trustees will consider all the submissions before selecting the winner!
As we understand it, this will primarily be an in-person event and the PSA can support up to two UK-based members to attend including registration fees.
If you have any questions or wish to be considered, please contact us via info@psa.ac.uk by 25 November 2022.
