To mark the 20th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, the Political Studies Association teamed up with a range of academics to examine it’s legacy. Each academic was given 20 seconds to give their opinion on the agreement and its aftermath. In this video, Thomas Leahy says the Good Friday Agreement has led to less engagement in Northern Ireland by Westminster and Dublin.

Dr Thomas Leahy is a lecturer in British and Irish politics and contemporary history at Cardiff University. His areas of specialism include the Northern Ireland conflict and intelligence war, Irish republicanism since 1969, Northern Irish politics since 1998, post-conflict reconciliation and dealing with the past, and British-Irish relations since 1969.
