Social Policy and Politics
The PSA Social Policy and Politics Specialist Group promotes the study of social policy with reference to political science debates and methods. The group focuses on core social policy concerns such as health, housing, criminal justice, benefits, social care and pensions, yet its theoretical and methodological approaches are heterodox, reflecting diversity within the PSA and field of social policy. Members tend to be interested in debates about political economy, facilitating study of social policy in the context of wider debates within political science.
