CALL FOR PAPERS NOW OPEN

The PSA Annual Undergraduate Conference 2019 is now open to undergraduate students to submit their work. The academic convenors for the conference are Dr Matthew Wood (PSA Trustee) and Dr Francesca Silvestri (NTU).

CONFERENCE THEME

As in previous years the conference theme mirrors our annual international conference.

This event provides a space for politics students, from the UK and abroad, and those in related subjects who are studying for undergraduate degrees to come together and share their research whilst exploring the theme '(UN) Sustainable Politics in a Changing World'.

The conference is also a unique opportunity to hear keynote academic talks and learn more about what it's like to undertake postgraduate study and research in the field of politics.

The pace at which our world continues to change is difficult to comprehend, and our ability to understand and explain politics is undermined as a result. Now, perhaps more than at any time since the end of the Cold War, the sustainability of current political practices must be (re)examined. Potential themes for exploration by student panellists include: the UK post-Brexit, populist politics, the limits of globalisation, climate change, the rise of nationalism and Trump.

We welcome presentationsfrom different sub disciplines within politics including comparative politics; political philosophy; and international relations, as well as students interested in qualitative and quantitative research.

Full programme details will be available soon.
