Reactionary Politics
The Reactionary Politics Specialist Group aims to build on the success of the Reactionary Politics Research Network and bring together Politics researchers and PSA members to study and tackle the rise of exclusionary, authoritarian and reactionary politics.
Key areas of research will include sexism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, ableism, racism, and ecofascism. Crucially, research on these matters will be done in an intersectional manner to break down the silos which have too often prevented a holistic analysis.
The RPSG will be open to all methods but require a critical approach to researching reactionary politics. Particular care will be taken towards ethical engagement with such research.
