Fee Information 

Registration fees for PSA26 have been kept as low as possible and similar to those for 2025. We have applied a 3% inflation increase across all ticket prices to reflect the increases in venue and catering costs associated with delivering the conference. 

IMPORTANT: All registrations will be cross-referenced for accuracy and eligibility purposes, to ensure that people are registering for the correct ticket type. We strive to make the conference registration as inclusive, accessible and fair as possible for those who want to attend. For instance, please ensure you are a current PSA member if you choose a member rate – if you are not a PSA member you will automatically be asked to join/renew, or you will be charged a non-member rate. Join the PSA for cheaper tickets as member rates are significantly discounted AND you will enjoy 12 months’ membership benefits. 

All ticket price includes a non-refundable registration fee of £10 which covers the financial transaction that the PSA is charged by our credit card provider for each ticket. If you cancel your ticket the PSA will retain this £10.

What does my registration fee include?

Your registration fee includes attendance to the conference with full access to all keynote presentations, receptions, roundtables, workshops and exhibitors. It usually includes breakfast pastries with morning registration, tea and coffee refreshments at breaks during the day and drinks/light snacks at receptions. Delegates are usually required to source their own lunch and evening meals, unless a special lunchtime event is taking place. Delegates will be provided with a badge and lanyard and full access to the digital programme and conference app. 

Delegate Support

The PSA annual international conference is a valuable opportunity to bring together as many of our members and communities as possible. It’s also an opportunity to recognise and support the breadth and impact of PSA specialist groups, and to support PSA members with opportunities to connect, share research and exchange ideas.   

Each year the PSA endeavours to provide appropriate support to individuals and/or communities for whom attending the conference may be particularly difficult. We will share and make available any additional support options prior to registration opening. 

We seek to support under-represented scholars and remove as many barriers as feasibly possible for those wishing to attend. We also strive to make our events as environmentally conscious and sustainable as possible.   

• Delegates from *low-income countries (as defined by the United Nations Finance Centre for South-South Cooperation and OECD DAC list of ODA recipients) are eligible for the PSA member concessionary rate: £118 for early bird and £165 for standard rate bookings. 

• To encourage and support ‘local’ representation, delegates from the University of Oxford and Oxford Brookes University will be eligible for a 25% ‘local’ discount.

• For working parents and guardian’s, delegates with ‘babes in arms’ are allowed to attend, and those with children under 18 may be permitted with prior agreement of set terms and conditions. We are not in a position to provide childcare provision at the conference but do recognise that on some occasions delegates may have no other option than to attend with their children, and we are keen to remove this barrier.

• The PSA makes every effort to ensure that event venues are as inclusive and accessible as possible. Delegates with disabilities will be invited to inform PSA staff of any additional support needs well in advance so that we can endeavour to accommodate these. We aim to ensure that all venues are wheelchair accessible, support those who are hard of hearing or deaf with microphones or loop systems. Registered carers are able to attend to support delegates at now extra cost.

• We will also aim to make available appropriate private spaces for delegate needs such as quiet spaces/prayer/feeding of babies. And we’ll invite delegates to let us know of support needs well in advance.

• Additional support and discount options for PSA Specialist Group convenors and PSA Networks with be communicated directly with convenors and commitee members. 

• Academics from the Global Low-income Countries (as defined by the United Nations Finance Centre for South-South Cooperation and OECD DAC list of ODA recipients) are eligible for concessionary

Supporting the Planet

PSA Annual Conferences are organised and delivered with environmental awareness and sustainability in mind at all stages and times. For instance, we have moved away from a printed programme and encourage all delegates to use the a digital conference app. Digital signage will be used in favour of printed where possible, and one-off and single-use conference specific materials (such as banners and tote bags) will be avoided in favour of more generic PSA items that can be used across multiple events and/or re-used. Badges will be paper not plastic. Delegates will be encouraged to recycle lanyards. Any conference ‘merch’ will be made from recycled materials where possible. For conference catering, plastic bags and utensils will be avoided in favour of crockery. Catering requirements will be as specific as possible so as to avoid food waste.
